Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 17 (ANI): The long cherished dream of the people of Visakhapatnam to travel in a vistadome coach to Araku is on the verge of being fulfilled. This first of first trial run of vistadome coach was inaugurated by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu through video link in august presence of distinguished guests at the Visakhapatnam railway station. Vistadome coach is a specially designed coach with single large size lookout observation window at observation lounge where tourist can have panoramic view. The coach is fully air conditioned and is provided with glass in domed ceiling. Automatic sliding doors, rotatable chairs, double seat with reclining system and a multi-luggage rack at the end of the coach have been provided. The coach also has advanced facilities like LED lights for better illumination, laptop and mobile charging points, GPS based passenger information system and infotainment system with digital display screens and audio system . The toilets in the coach are laid with ceramic tiles on floor and walls. The coach is provided with 920mm wide body side door for daubing as and also with CCTVs with HD cameras. Tickets for this coach would be issued from April 18 or April 19. The Vistadome coach would be detached at Araku and attached to the Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger from there.
